The weather is getting colder, the Halloween decorations have all come down that means it’s time for the Ottawa Santa Claus Parade.
I am a big fan of the Santa Claus Parade, I’m actually a big fan of any parade and living in downtown Ottawa we get to see a bunch. There is something special about the Santa Claus Parade. To me it signals the beginning of the holiday season and you really can’t leave the parade without getting wrapped up in the spirit of the season. Plus its so great to see little kids go nuts for Santa at the end.
The Help Santa Toy Parade will be held Saturday November 21st, 2015 at 11 am. The route is the same as last year beginning at the National Archives and finishing at the corner of Laurier and Elgin. Donations of toys and money will be collected by the Fire Fighters to help Ottawa Families this winter.
Make sure you dress warm, I’ve never been to this parade that it’s not freezing. This parade is pretty busy so it’s worth walking the route to find your perfect spot. There are lots of Tim Horton’s along the route so it’s easy to find a hot chocolate to enjoy as well.
So it you are out and about Saturday make sure you check out the Help Santa Toy Parade. For more information visit www.toyparade.org.
