Like so many people I know who live in centretown I had never been to the Museum of Nat. It’s funny how some attractions that are part of your neighbourhood you just overlook, I did until I realized that the Nature Museum is amazing!
Stuck at home with a toddler? Bored on a rainy day? Need a safe environment for a new walker to practice his/her moves? The Museum of Nature is the place to be.
You can buy a family museum pass for $100 a year which will allow you to go with a family of 5 as much as you want, admission for an adult is $12.50 or you can borrow a museum pass from your local library for free.
We have learned that arriving first thing in the morning is the best time. That way you practically have the museum to your self and your little one can run around. It’s been great during these winter months for us both to stretch our legs and wander around and its been a great safe place for my adventure boy to run around. There are lots of things that will capture a child’s interest and is a place that never gets boring. My little guy still wanders around in amazement, staring into fish tanks, touching different animals furs and exploring all the different kinds of rocks.
If your looking for a fun place to spend the day visit the Museum of Nature in Ottawa, all the exhibits are open now that the renovation is complete and its totally worth the money so check it out.
